Hue Festival 2022 Rejuvenates the Pandemic-Affected Tourism Sector in Thua Thien Hue

According to the vice-chairman of the provincial People's Committee, this year's Hue Festival has been drawing tourists to the central province of Tha Thiên Hu, which has been under COVID-19 pandemic lockdown for two years.

Many businesses are being forced to update their buildings and increase staff in order to meet the increasing demand.

The provincial Department of Tourism has collaborated with enterprises to plan a number of events, including the Hue Festival Day — Culinary Capital and the Hue Lotus Festival in June.

The Hip Hop Hue Festival, Hue Kylin Dance Festival, and Healthcare Tourism Week are scheduled for July, September, and November, respectively. The event for hot air balloons is slated to take place towards the end of June. The city can pick from a wide range of celebrations and events thanks to these events.

Travel bloggers, influencers, and key opinion leaders (KOLs) are urged to take part in the events in an effort to attract more young people to the central province and its historic tourist goods and services.

The tourism bureau also got in touch with the Hanoi UNESCO Travel Club to arrange charter trains from Hanoi to Hue.

To establish a positive first impression on guests, travel agencies that bring a lot of tourists to the area will be supported with welcome events, gifts, and traditional art programs at tourist locations.

According to the provincial tourism agency, 200,000 tourists are expected to take part in festival events.

Hue Festival has five UNESCO World Cultural Heritages. They include Vietnamese court music, the Imperial Archives of the Nguyen Dynasty (part of the Memory of the World Program), the Printing Woodblocks of the Nguyen Dynasty, and the Literature on Hu Royal Architecture. The Complex of Hu Monuments is also one of these (part of Documentary Heritage in the Memory of the World Programme).
