More Than 310,000 Foreign Visitors Have Come To Cambodia In 2022

On the end of June, local news reported that more than 310,000 foreign visitors on the fourth weekend of June, according to Minister of Tourism Thong Khon. According to Minister Khon, the nation saw a total of 318,863 foreign visitors between June 25 and June 26, including 298,940 citizens and 19,923 foreigners.

The principal vacation spots are:

• Preah Sihanouk - 56,885 foreign visitors
• Siem Reap - 45,219 foreign visitors
• Battambang - 40,955 foreign visitors
• Kampot - 34,518 foreign visitors
• Kep - 22,451 foreign visitors
• Phnom Penh - 18,685 foreign visitors
• Tboung Khmum - 15,343 foreign visitors
• Kampong Speu - 12,895 foreign visitors
• Pursat - 12,854 foreign visitors

Comparing last weekend to the weekend before, there was a modest decline in the number of visitors. There was about a 12.55 percent decline. Increasing energy and gas prices are to blame for the decline in vacationers.

In order to attract domestic market dynamics and compete with neighboring markets, the tourism minister urged the private sector to negotiate and set fair rates for travel packages.
