Thailand Places Highly in Travel + Leisure's "World's Best Awards 2022"

According to The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Thailand destinations and hotels fared well in Travel + Leisure's "World's Best Awards 2022," including Chiang Mai and Bangkok, which were recognized among the world's top 25 cities.

Chiang Mai had a score of 90.70, placing it in the seventh position on the list of "The 25 Best Cities in the World," whereas Bangkok received an 88.62, placing it in twenty-fourth. Bangkok came in at number eleven, and Chiang Mai was ranked second among "The 15 Best Cities in Asia."

Phuket was ranked third best among "The 5 Best Islands in Asia" and seventh best among "The 25 Best Islands in the World" with a score of 91.90.

The Standard, Hua Hin at No. 35 with a score of 97.38, Six Senses Yao Noi (Phuket) at No. 43 with a score of 97.07, Amanpuri (Phuket) at No. 57 with a score of 96.67, and the Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok at No. 84 with a score of 96.18 were four Thailand hotels that made the list of "The 100 Best Hotels in the World."

In the list of "The 15 Best Resorts in Asia," The Standard, Hua Hin, and Six Senses Yao Noi also made an appearance at Nos. 7 and 11, respectively.

Five resorts in Thailand made the list of "The 10 Best Resorts in Southeast Asia," including The Standard in Hua Hin, which came in at No. 1, Six Senses Yao Noi, which came in at No. 3, Amanpuri in Phuket, which came in at No. 5, Anantara Chiang Mai Resort, which came in at No. 6 with a score of 95.28, and 137 Pillars House in Chiang Mai, which came in at No. 9 with a score of 91

The Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel was ranked No. 12 with a score of 94.13, while The Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok was ranked No. 6 on the list of "The 15 Best City Hotels in Asia."

Bangkok was further distinguished as the location, and the Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok was honored in the World's Best Awards Hall of Fame. Bangkok received this award for its inclusion in the list of "The 15 Best Cities in Asia" for the past ten years in a row, and the Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok received this award for its inclusion in the lists of "The 100 Best Hotels in the World" and "The 3 Best Hotels in Bangkok" for the same period.
