Singapore Eliminated The 7-Days SHN for Travelers Who Are Not Fully Vaccinated
According to the Multi-Ministry Taskforce's announcement on Wednesday, Singapore will be changing its Vaccinated Travel Framework in light of the "improved local and international COVID-19 scenario" (24 August 2022).From August 28, 2022, 23:59:00, no non-fully immunized travelers entering Singapore will be subject to an exit-SHN polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test or a seven-day SHN upon arrival. However, they will still need to test negative on a pre-departure test within two days before leaving for Singapore. Additionally, if they are not completely immunized, COVID-19 travel insurance must be purchased for the duration of a short-term visitor's (STV) stay in Singapore.
At this time, STVs and LTPHs with incomplete vaccination records must request entrance authorization to enter Singapore. From August 28 at 23:59 UTC, this condition will no longer apply. LTPHs will still need to fulfill all VDS standards after arriving in Singapore because they are anticipated to stay for a longer amount of time.
Travelers are urged to adhere to the host nation's recovery procedures if they test positive for COVID-19 abroad. Those who have tested positive for COVID-19 for travel to Singapore should postpone their travel plans and avoid commercial flights and ferries since they might infect other passengers and staff while contagious. After at least 72 hours have passed since their initial positive test, they should only resume their travel when they test negative.
The MTF has encouraged all visitors to check Singapore's Immigration and Checkpoint Authority's website for the most recent border regulations before entering the nation and to be ready to follow them once inside.
Before entering Singapore, all passengers entering by air or sea must also present their electronic health declaration (SG Arrival Card). To ensure a simple arrival process in Singapore, submissions can be made up to three days before arrival, and visitors are highly advised to do so before leaving for the city-state.
