DAY 1: HANOI – CAT BA ISLAND (L)
Pick-up from your hotel in Hanoi, we transfer to Hai Phong city. Arriving in Hai Phong, we take a short break with a walking tour through a morning market. There are plenty of opportunities to try the local specialties and photos.
We continue proceeding to the local pier, board a local ferry for a short trip to Cat Ba Island.
In the afternoon, enjoy a boat trip to visit the Cai Beo ancient floating village with the largest scale currently known in Vietnam. On the way, enjoy the beautiful and poetic scenery of the village and stop by a floating house to have a chat with the locals for an overview of their daily life.
Visit the Canon Fortress, built-in 1942 at a key strategic location at the gateway of the Eastern Sea on Cat Ba Island with the task of preserving Vietnam's pristine waters during the war. Here, well-labeled paths will guide you past underground tunnels and gun emplacements, out to the best viewpoints overlooking the whole island. Transfer back to Cat Ba town after the trip. Overnight on Cat Ba Island.
 
DAY 2: CAT BA ISLAND – HA NOI (B/L)
This morning, set on an exploration of Cat Ba National Park. Hike through the jungle, passing by butterfly gardens, natural forests surrounded by limestone mountains. This trail allows you to get close to the forest which is home to many endangered species. Follow the trail crossing Kim Giao's precious wood forest onto Ngu Lam peak which lends spectacular views of the area. Admire along the way the diversity in the ecosystem and the high biodiversity with the hidden charm of nature, harboring many rare and precious plants and animals as well as distinctive landscapes. 
From this point, you can choose to come back or continue further to explore Trung Trang Cave and Uy Ban Grottos - the representative for caves and grottos system on Cat Ba archipelago, where you will marvel at its impressive stalactites and resident roosting bats. 
Continue to Hospital Cave, the famous secret bomb-proof hospital during the Vietnam War and as a safe house for Vietnam Communism Army leaders. Built between 1963 and 1965 with assistance from China, this incredibly well-constructed engineering was in constant use until 1975. Return to Nation Park HQ where the vehicle awaits the transfer back to Cat Ba town. Leisure before your journey back to Hanoi.
