This morning, meet your local guide and venture off to the village of Tan Hoa, located 70 km away from Phong Nha town. After a thorough safety briefing and gear check, start walking across fields of peanut crops, giant water buffaloes, towering corn stalks, and down to the Rao Nan River. The adventure accelerates with a 30m climb up a rocky hill to a small jungle where you can catch your breath before experiencing a 100m descent in elevation down to Hung Ton Valley. After light exploration of its immense formations, enjoy a picnic lunch followed by some steep climbing rewarded by a relaxing break at a scenic outlook on the jungle path. After lunch, continue your trip from Hung Ton Valley and over to Mango Mountain, then back down into Tu Lan Valley. Arrive at Tu Lan campsite in the mid-afternoon. Afternoon activities include exploring and swimming through Ken Cave, located next to the campsite. Enjoy dinner with the group, telling stories around the campfire, and a good night’s sleep in hammocks strung up beside the beautiful waterfall.
