Thailand has officially confirmed that the TEST & GO scheme is effective to welcome fully vaccinated visitors traveling from any country around the world to enter Thailand from February 1, 2022. Travelers are required to spend their 1st and 5th night at SHA++ hotels while waiting for their COVID-19 test result (booked and prepaid 2 RT-PCR tests are required). After receiving a negative COVID-19 test, travelers are then free to travel anywhere in Thailand.
The Sandbox destinations are now expanded to Chonburi and Trat besides Phuket, Krabi, Phang-nga, Samui, Pattaya, and Ko Chang. Sandbox program now also requires travelers to pay for 2 PCR tests. But travelers can stay up to 2 SHA++ hotels within a province during their 7 nights as required by Sandbox program.
Cambodia
Cambodia reopened for fully vaccinated international tourists from November 2021.
Cambodia visa-on-arrival services remain suspended, yet Cambodia has resumed issuing tourist visas, e-visas, as well as exemptions for visas.
The government has also resumed international flights between Cambodia and other countries in the region. Singapore Airlines, Korean Air, Air Asia, Philippines Airlines, Thai Smile Airways, and Vietnam Airlines have reopened their routes to Cambodia.
Vietnam
Vietnam authority proposed to completely reopen tourism starting March 31, 2022, for international tourists. Travelers to Vietnam must be either fully vaccinated or recovered from Covid-19, have a negative PCR test within the last 72 hours, and have medical insurance that covers Covid-19 treatment with at least $50,000.
Currently, arrivals with negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test results would only need to self-quarantine at hotel for three days after entering Vietnam. RT-PCR test will be conducted on the 3rd day of entry. If negative, entrants are still required to monitor their health for the next 11 days.
Laos
