Thailand Eases Rule for Visitors from March 1, 2022
The Thai government announced to relax entry requirements for overseas arrivals by replacing the second RT-PCR test on day 5 with an antigen test kit (ATK) and reducing health insurance coverage for foreign visitors from at least US$50,000 to $20,000.This new rule will be effective on the website of the government to apply for Thailand Pass QR code https://tp.consular.go.th/ from 01 March 2022, so travelers can start to enter Thailand with this condition from 07 March 2022.
With this new rule, the “Test & Go” Program and “SandBox” have the same policy.
COVID-19 testing requirements:
- For arrivals by air and land: First test on Day 1 by an RT-PCR method (wait for the result within the hotel), and the second test on Day 5 by a self-ATK method (must report/record the result via the application).
- For arrivals by water: First test on Day 1 by an RT-PCR method (wait for the result on board the vessel), and the second on Day 5 by a self-ATK method (must report/record the result via the application).
