1. Angkor Wat (Angkor Archaeological Park)Built from 802 to 1432, it was the largest city in the world during the medieval period and the vast power of the Khmer kings. When the city's wooden houses were encroached upon and then ravaged by the surrounding jungle, what remains today are only majestic temples.
