Breaking News: Vietnam's TTDI Rises to Rank among The Top Three TTDI Achievers in The World

The Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Index (TTCI) has been replaced by the Travel & Tourism Development Index (TTDI) 

Since 2007, the World Economic Forum has published its inaugural report on the World Travel and Tourism Competitiveness Index (TTCI). This study has been the primary standard and gauge in the global tourist business for the past 15 years.

However, the Travel & Tourism sector (T&T) has suffered tremendous harm in the last two years as a result of the global financial crisis.

Vietnam is one of the three countries with the largest improvement in the overall index score.

The World Economic Forum (WEF) plainly stated in the report that Vietnam is the country that improved the most (+4,7%) on the overall index, rising 8 places from 2019 (ranking results for 2019 have also been calculated).

According to the new WEF approach, the ranking results of Vietnam's tourism industry reflect achievements in pandemic prevention, safe and flexible adaptation, unrelenting efforts to implement safe tourism activities, decisions to restore tourism, and reopening of all domestic and international tourism after the pandemic is well controlled, as well as sustainable factors as a fulcrum for Vietnam's tourism industry to recover.
