Noi Bai (VNA) - Beginning on October 12, 2022, Thai Vietjet will run a service connecting Phu Quoc, a popular tourist destination in Vietnam, with Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi), the capital of Thailand. This service will give passengers more opportunities and flexible travel options while also helping the tourism industry recover after travel restrictions have been lifted.

Vietnamese travelers prefer Bangkok, which is consistently one of Southeast Asia's top tourist attractions. The magnificent Grand Palace, the boat-filled Chao Phraya River, and several bustling night markets are all visible from the "City of Angels."

With direct flights from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, and the only direct route between Ho Chi Minh City and Phuket, Vietjet is the largest airline operating between the two countries in terms of capacity. Additionally, the airline will reopen the Ho Chi Minh City-Chiang Mai route on September 1, 2022, to meet the demand for leisure and pilgrimage travel during the holiday season.

All COVID-19-related arrival restrictions have been abolished for travelers from Vietnam and Thailand. Especially, the Thai government has raised the time of visa-free stay for tourists from over 50 countries including Vietnam, from 30 days to 45 days which will be effective from this October.
