Vietnam Airlines To Launch First-Ever Direct Flight From Hanoi To Milan

Vietnam Airlines will officially launch a new direct route connecting Hanoi and Milan starting July 1, 2025—becoming the first Vietnamese airline to operate nonstop flights to Italy.

The route will be served by the modern Boeing 787 Dreamliner, with three weekly flights scheduled on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. To celebrate this milestone, Vietnam Airlines is offering promotional round-trip fares starting from VND 14.8 million (inclusive of taxes and fees) for tickets purchased between September 17 and November 12, applicable for departures from July 1 to July 31, 2025.

Tickets are now available via Vietnam Airlines' official website, mobile app, ticket offices, and authorized agents.

Looking ahead, Vietnam Airlines also plans to launch direct flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Milan in 2026, further expanding its European network. With the addition of Milan, the airline will operate nine international routes connecting Vietnam to Europe, including existing routes to Paris, Frankfurt, and London, and upcoming services to Munich in October 2025.
