Vietnam Re-Opened for International Tourists

On March 15, Vietnam government approved to reopen the country for international tourists. 
 
Same day, the government announced that Visa Policy also has been resumed to the status before pandemic. The unilateral visa exemption policy for a maximum of 15 days for 13 countries in Europe: Belarus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Norway, Spain, Sweden, the U.K., Russia, and) and 2 countries in Asia: Japan, South Korea be extended until 14 March 2025. Visa on Arrival (VOA) and E-visa will be applied for citizens of 80 countries. 
 
For Vietnam Entry, foreign tourists must meet the following requirements:
 
1. By Air: having a negative PCR test result within 72 hours OR a negative rapid test result within 24 hours before departure (except children under 2 years old). The test result must be certified by the official authorities in the country performing the test

2. By Land, Waterway, Railway: if a tourist does not have test result before departure must take a test (PCR or rapid test on arrival) within 24h after entry. If their test result is negative, they will be allowed to visit as plan.  

3. Have medical or travel insurance that covers treatment for COVID-19 with a minimum liability of $10,000. 

4. Install application for COVID-19 disease prevention during the stay in Vietnam.

5. Monitor health condition during the stay in Vietnam.

6. Children under 2 years of age are exempt from all requirements.
