Hanoi Conducts Pilot Night Tour at Temple of Literature
On Sunday, a pilot night tour to explore Hanoi's Van Mieu Quoc Tu Giam (Temple of Literature) was organized, featuring the participation of several travel agencies. The primary objective of this project is to highlight the unique value of this special national relic site and attract more visitors to explore the monument during the evening hours, thereby diversifying tourism offerings in Hanoi. This endeavor marks the fourth night tour in Hanoi, with the preceding three tours covering the Hoa Lo Prison Relic, the Thang Long Imperial Citadel, and the Vietnam Museum of Literature. The organizers aim to provide tourists with a distinctive and novel experience by incorporating modern 3D mapping technology, which vividly presents various stories about Confucianism, the country's history, and its revered sages.
Significant structures within the site, such as the Khue Van Cac (the pavilion of the constellation of literature), the Vuon bia Tien si (Garden of doctoral steles), and the Thien Quang well, are effectively utilized to convey the value and significance of scholarly pursuits. The Khue Van Cac area will also serve as a venue for traditional music performances.
Phung Quang Thang, the Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Travel Association, emphasized the excitement generated among visitors by the use of new technologies in the night tour. He suggested that additional guidance be provided to visitors to enhance their understanding of the stories being narrated.
